About our foodbank

Here is an introduction to our project.

The North Norfolk foodbank was set up in 2012 to provide emergency, essential food items for people in crisis within North Norfolk. We operate within an area totalling 200 square miles – which includes coastal areas, several market towns and extensive rural areas – and with a population of approximately 70,000.

Our foodbank is supported by local churches, schools, and community groups, working together towards stopping hunger in our local area.

We have 7 distribution centres open across North Norfolk:

  • Cromer
  • Sheringham
  • Holt
  • Aylsham
  • North Walsham
  • Stalham
  • Wells-next-the-Sea

In addition to food, we provide a range of essential toiletries and household items, and run an Energybank scheme.

We also have a Citizens Advice Foodbank Adviser funded by the Trussell Trust, especially recruited to work with Foodbank clients across North Norfolk to sort out sticky situations that are putting them into food crisis, providing advice over the phone and face-to-face at some of our distribution centres to help our Foodbank and Energybank clients.

We rely on donations of food, toiletries, and money, and have donation points across North Norfolk. You can find out more about donating or supporting us here: Give Help
